Role Descrng>iption The Janitor and Handyman role is a full-time, on-site position based in Montréal, QC. This role is responsible for daily cleaning and housekeeping of common areas, including hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms, and building entrances, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and presentable. The individual will perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing fixtures, addressing easy plumbing or electrical issues, painting, and assisting with unit turnover and basic renovations.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring building conditions, reporting larger maintenance needs, supporting waste and recycling management, and helping maintain exterior areas such as walkways and parking lots. The role also involves interacting with residents and office tenants in a professional manner, responding to service requests, and supporting property management with occasional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Janitorial Services and Housekeeping, including routine cleaning, sanitizing, and upkeep of indoor and outdoor common areas.
- Ability to provide respectful,



responsive Customer Service to residents and tenants, with clear communication and a problem-solving approach.
- Experience or aptitude in Training and supporting coworkers or new staff on cleaning standards, safety procedures, and building protocols.
- Basic Sales awareness when interacting with prospective tenants, such as presenting the property positively and answering questions about building features.
- General handyman skills, including minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), painting, and using basic tools and equipment safely.
- Reliability in working full-time on-site, with valuable time management, organization, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; French language skills are an asset in Montréal.
- Previous experience in building maintenance, janitorial work, or property management support is an asset.
