Occupational Therapist I work in Calgary’s Bridgeland Riverside Care Centre, delivering focused assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for complex mental health clients. Carewest seeks an Occupational Therapist I for regular full time days on rehabilitation, recovery, and continuing care units. You will support adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, often alongside physical health conditions, cognitive impairment, substance use disorders, or functional disabilities. Care follows harm-reduction, trauma-informed, and person-directed principles.

Key Responsibilities




Provide focused client assessment on rehabilitation and recovery units Deliver occupational therapy treatment and discharge planning Provide interventions maximizing safe functional independence Support resident quality of life on continuing care units Supervise support staff and students when required

Requirements:
