You will: Provide individual/group programs of instruction for students who are blind, deafblind and/or low vision; Develop Individual Education Plans including curriculum expectations and assessment; Provide regular communication to parents regarding school and classroom activities; What we are looking for:

Qualifications:
Must be Certified and in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT); teacher candidates with a Transitional Certificate or with pending OCT are welcome to apply; Teaching Students who are Blind/Low Vision, Specialist & Teaching Students who are Deafblind qualifications, or willingness to work towards obtaining this additional qualification. Appropriate subject(s) and division qualifications for the position. Abilities: Ability and proven experience teaching students who are blind and/or low vision in academic programs and/or alternative programs for students identified with multiple exceptionalities. Knowledge of and ability to apply curriculum adaptations, methods, and learning materials to support students who are blind and/or low vision. Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders,



including excellent interpersonal/communication skills and proficient braille skills. Ability to effectively manage a classroom and students using a variety of behaviouralmanagement techniques. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
