Apply Ontario OHSA expertise as a Health and Safety Coordinator supporting employees directly on a heavy industrial manufacturing floor in Welland. Work onsite.

Ellos HR Solutions is recruiting this coordinator for an established steel industry manufacturer. The role strengthens workplace safety through inspections, investigations, training, reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with Operations, Human Resources, supervisors, employees, contractors, and plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop workplace safety programs, procedures, and preventative initiatives
- Inspect workplaces, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions
- Lead workplace incident, injury, and near miss investigations
- Coordinate employee safety training, certifications, and onboarding




- Monitor Ontario OHSA compliance and prepare safety reports

Requirements:

- Heavy industrial manufacturing experience is essential
- Post secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline
- Working knowledge of Ontario OHSA and workplace safety regulations
- Experience conducting investigations, inspections, and risk assessments
- Familiarity with LOTO, cranes, confined spaces, and hazardous materials
