Marketing Coordinator / Senior Marketing Coordinator (TOMK-01)

MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists is seeking a Marketing Coordinator or Senior Marketing Coordinator for a full-time in-office position in our Toronto, Ontario office to help us build relationships with lawyers, insurance professionals and engineers through events, conferences, storytelling and well-kept client data. The annual salary is $65,000 to $85,000 depending on skill and experience. We provide extended health care benefits, starting vacation is 3 weeks (accrued annually) and we observe 12 paid holidays per year.

This role is for a relationship builder and a strong organizer. You will plan client events and conference attendance, help our engineers connect with lawyers and insurance professionals, and keep client data accurate enough to guide business development decisions.

You will also help tell MEA's story. That means turning complex forensic work into clear, compelling messages for seminars, articles, case studies, and event follow-up. The role values relationship-building, storytelling, and organization over graphic design skills.

You will work closely with managers, engineers and scientists in Toronto and with marketing counterparts in Vancouver, British Columbia and Los Angeles, California. We will consider candidates at the Coordinator or Senior Coordinator level, with title and scope matched to experience.

Responsibilities

- Help attract current legal and insurance clients and strengthen relationships with existing ones.
- Build business development plans with MEA engineers that help them meet new clients and stay connected with current ones.
- Find speaking, writing, sponsorship and networking opportunities for MEA and its experts.




- Coordinate pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up, so every conversation leads to a next step.
- Organize seminars and CLE/CPD-style presentations by MEA engineers for legal and insurance audiences.
- Plan, attend and staff trade shows, conferences, and legal and insurance networking events in the Ontario area.
- Manage event logistics, including registrations, booth materials, shipping, travel, budgets and schedules.
- Develop and run creative client appreciation events.
- Plan in-house events that promote teamwork and collegiality.
- Work with engineers and scientists to turn technical findings into clear stories for lawyers, claims professionals and adjusters.
- Coordinate and edit trade articles and case studies
- Draft, edit and coordinate seminar descriptions, announcements, website and social media content, and event materials.
- Help develop a cohesive, strategic marketing approach for the Ontario office that aligns with MEA's firm-wide brand.
- Maintain clean and accurate client and contact data in our CRM, including event attendance and follow-up activities.
- Track and report on events, campaigns, and business development activities.
- Identify client trends and opportunities from client data to guide where we focus.
- Keep marketing calendars, files, and event plans organized across offices.

Requirements

- Degree in marketing, communications, business administration,



journalism or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of marketing, business development or event experience for the coordinator level; 5+ years for the Senior Coordinator level.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a track record of managing multiple events, projects and deadlines at once.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to build meaningful relationships with lawyers, insurance professionals, and engineers.
- Clear, persuasive writing and editing skills, with an ear for explaining technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
- Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, pivot tables) and comfort working in CRM or ERP platforms to track, clean and analyze client data.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and to the US, including some evenings and weekends around events.
