One of our leading client is looking for Senior LANSA / RDMLX Developer remotely
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced LANSA Developer to support and enhance a large, business-critical ERP application built entirely on LANSA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with LANSA RDMLX, along with experience supporting existing enterprise applications and developing new functionality. This is an end-to-end development and support role covering issue analysis, solution design, coding, and unit testing.
The ERP platform supports core business operations including process manufacturing, receiving, order processing, sales, and invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using LANSA Version 16.
- Work extensively with RDMLX and support existing RDML components.
- Investigate issues reported by business users and determine whether they require application fixes or enhancements.
- Perform end-to-end break/fix development, including:
o Issue investigation and root cause analysis
- Solution design
- Coding
- Unit testing
- Deliver new development and project requirements starting from functional specifications through unit testing.
- Support and enhance an existing ERP workplace developed extensively using LANSA.
- Work with application database components, including:
o Database structures
- Stored procedures
- Table triggers
- Work within an environment where RPG runtime code is generated by LANSA.
- Support ERP business processes covering:
o Process manufacturing
- Receiving
- Order processing
- Sales
- Invoicing
- Collaborate effectively with distributed teams while working within US/CET business hours.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and documentation to support long-term continuity of the LANSA skill set.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with LANSA development.
- Strong experience with RDMLX.
- Experience supporting or maintaining RDML applications.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise/business-critical applications.
- Strong application troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling the complete development lifecycle from functional specification through coding and unit testing.
- Experience working with databases, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve production/application issues.
- Willingness and ability to work US/CET hours.
- Strong communication skills for working with business users and distributed development teams.
Preferred Skills / Experience
· Experience with LANSA Version 16.
- Experience supporting a large ERP system developed primarily or entirely in LANSA.
- Experience with process manufacturing ERP systems.
- Understanding of IBM i / RPG environments, particularly LANSA-generated RPG runtime code.
- Experience supporting order processing, receiving, sales, and invoicing business functions.
- Experience working in long-term application development and support engagements.
