Mergui Avocats Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated junior lawyer with 1–2 years of experience in family law to join our team.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated skilled with excellent legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

- Represent clients in family law matters.
- Conduct legal research and analyze applicable legislation and case law.
- Draft court pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and various legal correspondence.
- Prepare files for hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
- Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions.
- Advise and guide clients throughout legal proceedings.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and procedural requirements.

Requirements

- Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
- 1–2 years of experience in family law.




- Excellent command of both French and English, written and spoken.
- Fluency in Turkish would be a significant asset.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, independence, professionalism, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
