Carewest seeks an Occupational Therapist in Calgary, focused on assessment, treatment, and discharge planning across complex mental health services. This regular full-time role works days.

Based at Bridgeland Riverside Care Centre, the Occupational Therapist supports rehabilitation, recovery, and continuing care units. The position serves adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and related physical, cognitive, behavioral, or functional challenges. Care follows harm-reduction, trauma-informed, person-directed principles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide focused client assessments across rehabilitation and recovery units
- Deliver occupational therapy treatment and discharge planning
- Develop interventions supporting safe functional independence




- Contribute to resident quality of life on continuing care units
- Provide clinical supervision to support staff and students

Requirements:

- Recognized Masters or Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
- Eligibility for Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists membership
- Clinical or continuing care occupational therapy experience is an asset
- Recent graduates and provisional occupational therapists are welcome
