The Dock Field Technician diagnoses problems, performs repairs and provides preventative maintenance service on dock equipment at a customer's site. Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install various types of docks and related components including dock levelers, restraint systems, dock seals. Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock equipment. Must be able to perform welding repairs. Uses instruction manuals, wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics to diagnose components and system failures. Ensures customer work area is clean and free of debris, oil, and grease. Maintain a service truck and its inventory. Education & Work Experience High school completion and at least 2 years welding and/or warehouse dock repair experience.



General mechanical and electrical aptitude required. Read and interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, choosing the best equipment to weld specific metals. Positive written and verbal communication and customer care skills Valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to operate lift trucks. A Dock Field Technician will work in a variety of environments depending on customer facilities such as a warehouse, shop, parking lot etc.
