Support safe plant operations as an AltaGas Relief Operator near Grande Prairie, Alberta, performing equipment checks and daily field activities. Work rotating twelve-hour day and night shifts on a seven-days-on, seven-days-off schedule.
This Relief Operator supports full-time operations staff at AltaGas’s Pipestone Facility. The work emphasizes plant readings, safety equipment checks, maintenance preparation, and secure work permitting. You will assist Plant Operators with equipment lockouts, purging, filter changes, and pipeline pigging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take plant readings and perform equipment checks
- Complete safety equipment checks at the facility
- Assist with equipment lockouts and purging for maintenance
- Change filters and assist with pigging pipelines
- Support safe work permitting and maintenance preparation
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
- Or be working toward the required certificate
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Positive attitude and desire to learn
