Validus Risk Management seeks a motivated intern or Co-op student for its Macro Strategies function. You will investigate economic themes, analyze data, and prepare presentations for senior team members. The placement runs from January to May 2027, with a possible extension, in a hybrid Downtown Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research data and information on economic and macro themes
- Prepare synthetic presentations for senior team members
- Conduct ad hoc analytical and project work
- Help build monitoring systems for macro factors and indicators
- Support client deliverables, presentations,
and content preparation
Requirements:
- Second- or third-year finance, economics, or STEM undergraduate student
- Strong numeracy with intermediate calculus, algebra, and statistics
- Excel and data manipulation or analysis software experience
- Python experience is a solid plus
- Project initiative experience, including university projects, is a plus
