Apply occupational therapy expertise in Red Deer’s children’s mental health setting, supporting youth through assessment, treatment planning, and family involvement.

As an Occupational Therapist II, you will support the Step Up Step Down program at the Sheldon Kennedy Centre. You will provide recovery-oriented care to youth ages 13-17 experiencing complex mental health or addiction challenges. Your practice will address sensory processing, regulation, daily living, executive functioning, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess sensory processing, interoception, regulation, and daily living skills
- Develop treatment plans, discharge plans, and clinical follow-up
- Facilitate group interventions and caregiver education




- Provide clinical leadership within the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in program development and operational planning

Requirements:

- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Graduation from an accredited university program
- Registration or eligibility with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
- Evidence-based practice aligned with skilled standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
