Aramark is recruiting a Residence Dining Assistant Manager at Memorial University, St. Reporting to the Residence Dining Manager and working in conjunction with the Executive Chef on a daily basis, the Residence Dining Assistant Manager will assist the Manager with daily food service operations in catering and in the residence dining hall at Memorial University. This will include supervision of staff, and helping to plan, organize and direct all aspects of the food service operations on a day-to-day basis. From brain-powering ingredients to comforting flavor combinations, nutritious food doesn't have to be boring. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the food service includes delegating tasks, motivating, and coaching employees as required Manage and direct food production planning, waste management, record keeping, follow up, and modification based on business volumes Ensure food safety standards and HACCP enforced at all times Proactively manage food and labor cost controls Assist with the recruitment, training, and orientation of staff Responsible for creating weekly employee schedule and filling shifts as needed Input and verify weekly payroll Manage staff-related issues such as vacation requests, employee sick time, and progressive discipline as required Responsible for supervising cash handling procedures, which include alance cash float, safe, verify deposit and random cashier audits Resolve customer complaints as they arise,



escalating to the Manager as necessary.
