The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting concepts effectively in real-world business situations and demonstrate strong overall accounting knowledge. This includes a solid understanding of job costing, accruals, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable and payable, as well as the proper treatment of intercompany transactions and personal expenses. Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Sage for data processing, reconciliations, and related accounting tasks is also important. In addition, the candidate should have a good understanding of GST/HST requirements, with knowledge of various provincial PST systems considered an asset.
