Bilingual proofreading expertise supports CIHI publications across French and English. Work from Toronto or Ottawa while checking accuracy, style, and presentation.

The Bilingual Proofreader reviews data visualizations, infographics, information sheets, research reports, websites, and promotional content before publication. This role requires one to three years of proofreading or editing experience, strong linguistic knowledge, and familiarity with established processes. You will use proofreading tools, consult colleagues and clients, and help maintain CIHI’s bilingual standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Proofread French and English documents within assigned timelines
- Identify typographical, formatting, spelling, grammatical, and style errors
- Compare source, laid-out, English, and French texts




- Consult colleagues and clients to resolve accuracy queries
- Support quality, training, resources, and process improvements

Requirements:

- Fluency in French and English is required
- One to three years of proofreading or editing experience
- Degree in Communications, language studies, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF markup
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills
