This casual Educational Assistant position supports students’ socialization, communication, and behaviour development. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you assist teachers with programs, classroom organization, personal care, and physical care. Assignments are day-to-day, with no guarantee of hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with planning and implementing student programs
- Organize classroom materials, activities, equipment, and programs
- Implement developmental strategies with multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide behaviour management and classroom support
- Provide personal and physical care assistance
Requirements:
- High School diploma and related education or equivalent qualifications
- One year directly related experience or equivalent combination
- Knowledge of intervention techniques, first aid, CPR, and medication administration
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet knowledge
- English communication skills and ability to travel within Edmonton
