Electrical and controls engineering students can gain practical project experience with Kinectrics in Toronto through a hybrid Summer 2027 PEY placement.

This 16-month PEY Student placement supports Kinectrics’ Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group. You will work with design engineering teams on electrical or instrumentation and controls projects, preparing engineering deliverables and supporting client-facing activities. Third- or fourth-year students in relevant engineering disciplines are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interface with design engineering teams on EI&C; projects
- Assist with preparation of engineering deliverables
- Participate in client meetings and plant walkdowns
- Provide project support and project management assistance




- Visit client sites occasionally with team members

Requirements:

- Full-time enrollment in a co-op or PEY undergraduate program
- Study in electrical, mechatronics, energy systems, or related engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel applications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and engineering documentation
- Solid communication, organization, planning, and interpersonal skills

Develop electrical, instrumentation, controls, documentation, and client communication skills within Kinectrics’ Toronto engineering group.
