Cooke Aquaculture Inc.’s Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd. is hiring a Freshwater Aquaculture Technician for full-time, year-round employment. This position centers on brood stock production, spawning, egg and fry production, and daily hatchery routines. You will also feed, vaccinate, grade, weigh, and cull aquaculture stocks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle brood stock and support spawning activities
- Contribute to egg and fry production processes
- Feed and vaccinate aquaculture stocks as required
- Grade, weigh, and perform culling of stocks
- Collect data and complete daily production records
Requirements:
- Recognized aquaculture training or sufficient salmon fry rearing experience
- Experience with water quality testing considered an asset
- Ability to lift and carry brood fish
- Solid attention to detail and computer literacy
- Availability for varied or irregular shifts, including weekends
