Support seniors through personal care, mobility assistance, and daily living tasks as a part time Personal Support Worker at Extendicare Fenelon Court.

This role serves residents under supervisor direction while following Extendicare standards, policies, and procedures. You will assist with transfers, adaptive aids, hygiene, meals, and daily activities. Care includes recognizing resident needs, maximizing abilities, and offering cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support. Solid organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. The position also requires working in a position of trust with vulnerable adults and maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Follow care plans determined by the supervising professional
- Facilitate resident moves and transfers where applicable




- Assist with ambulation, mobilization, and adaptive equipment
- Provide resident and family support across daily care needs
- Communicate safety concerns and implement directed interventions

Requirements:

- Graduate of a recognized Personal Support Worker program
- Minimum 600 hours theory and practicum where applicable
- Demonstrated personal care skills and knowledge
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Current First Aid and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
