Operate vehicles across multi-level railcars as a part-time Auto Handler in Delta, requiring protected driving, climbing, and precise positioning.
HRC manages automotive transportation within the Hansen's Group of Companies, hiring handlers for new and used vehicle operations. This position supports railcar access, loading, unloading, vehicle securement, and release. Work involves bridge plates, ramps, restraints, handheld documentation, and strict fall protection procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive vehicles on and off designated railcar ramps
- Position vehicles safely inside railcars
- Open and secure railcar end doors
- Operate mobile loading ramps when authorized
- Maintain three points of contact while climbing
Requirements:
- Minimum two years driving experience
- Full valid driver's license in British Columbia
- Clear criminal record check
- English reading, writing, and speaking ability
- Ability to work at heights up to approximately 14 feet
Use controlled vehicle movement, railcar access, and securement practices while supporting HRC's automotive handling operations.
