MEC is seeking a Seasonal Store Advisor who connects people with quality outdoor products and exceptional member service. Bring curiosity, integrity, and a welcoming approach to every conversation.
This seasonal retail role supports members planning weekend getaways, dream trips, and outdoor adventures. You’ll recommend gear, answer questions, maintain store standards, and learn about new products and technology. Previous retail or customer service experience is welcome but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand members’ needs through open-ended questions
- Provide industry-leading advice on outdoor gear
- Help staffers keep the store in excellent condition
- Organize inventory behind the scenes
- Share information about MEC events and services
Requirements:
- Experience with camping, cycling, packs, or outdoor activities
- Excellent member service mindset
- Personal integrity, initiative, and awareness
- Ability to develop yourself and others
- Availability for weekend work and diverse weekday shifts
