Operate food-processing machinery in Abbotsford while applying equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting skills. Work Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with schedules varying.
As a Machine Operator on the Production and Maintenance Team, you will support routine production activities and minimize equipment downtime. You will operate machines that process food and beverage products, maintain equipment programs, and protect product quality. The work includes production reporting, machine inspections, and process adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and safely operate processing equipment
- Operate machines to grind, mix, dry, freeze, and cook products
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and minimize production downtime
- Complete inspections, documentation,
and production reports
- Guide helpers while maintaining timing and quality standards
Requirements:
- Six months to one year operating machinery experience
- Food processing, manufacturing, or service industry experience
- Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering diploma preferred
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments from 0°C to 4°C
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and communicate in English
