Support Edmonton community members through front-line service, program access, and de-escalation at The Mustard Seed’s Canora Community Impact Centre. This is temporary part-time work.

The Mustard Seed seeks a Community Support Worker for November through March 31, 2027. Reporting to the Site Lead, you will welcome guests, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders. You will help deliver Community Impact Centre programs, connect participants with services, and support a protected environment. The schedule runs Monday to Sunday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome community members, visitors, and stakeholders
- Complete guest sign-ins, intakes, and program evaluations
- Use de-escalation techniques during non-violent crisis intervention




- Assist participants with services, appointments, and events
- Complete logs, incident reports, and program statistics

Requirements:

- Undergraduate Social Work degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year community development experience
- Front-line experience with vulnerable populations
- Effective conflict management and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
