This Staff Hardware Engineer role leads technical execution for a design team building advanced electronic products. You will own electrical hardware design across circuit and board development, BOM creation, vendor negotiations, and product-range validation. The position also requires lifecycle ownership, from product inception through volume production, including customer trials, field issues, and sustaining work.
Key Responsibilities: Design critical electrical circuits and printed circuit boards
Place large high-powered systems-on-chip on advanced packages
Participate in vendor negotiations and BOM creation
Drive product development from inception through production
Address customer trials, field issues, and sustaining needs
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Eight or more years of relevant experience
Deep understanding of PCB board layout
Experience with 2 D, 2.5 D, and 3 D memory packaging
Complex product ownership in cross-functional teams
Bring PCB layout depth, systems-on-chip placement, and product ownership to Broadcom’s full time Ottawa engineering team.
