Support shipping operations through receiving, inspection, inventory organization, and accurate documentation in this Shipping Assistant role. Work includes materials handling and backup shipping support.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Assistant and Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Assistant receives, inspects, and stores FGS materials. The position files WII materials, manages inventory areas, and ships materials using work orders. It also supports stock room safety, audits, reporting, and required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store FGS materials
- File WII materials in designated locations
- Organize and label inventory storage areas
- Locate, pack, and ship materials by work orders
- Generate required documentation and reports
Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Shipping or logistics experience is an asset
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Controlled Goods Program certification
- Ability to handle boxes up to 20 kilograms
