Valard Construction seeks new and Level One through Four Powerline Technician Apprentices for its Distribution group. You will install and inspect electrical distribution facilities while operating line trucks and associated equipment. The apprenticeship supports hours toward your Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate through practical construction work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and inspect electrical distribution facilities
- Maintain poles, towers, and guy wires
- Splice, solder, and insulate conductors and related wiring




- Install and repair overhead and underground facilities
- Perform energized line work using approved tools and equipment

Requirements:

- Enrollment in Ontario Powerline Technician apprenticeship certification
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Drivers Abstract
- Knowledge of trade safety practices and requirements
- Willingness to work away from home and diverse shifts
- Local Ottawa residence or reasonable commuting distance
