Operate heavy equipment for the Town of Cochrane, maintaining roads, stormwater infrastructure and community safety. Alberta Class 3 licensing is required.

As a Roads Operator, you will support municipal operations across Cochrane. The work includes equipment operation, roadway maintenance, stormwater inspections and winter response. Mechanical aptitude, safe work practices and dependable teamwork are central to the position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate trucks, graders, loaders, sweepers, plows and other equipment
- Maintain roads, traffic devices, signage and stormwater infrastructure
- Perform inspections and routine vehicle equipment maintenance
- Respond to customer inquiries and operational concerns professionally
- Participate in emergency, on-call, snow and ice operations

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Alberta Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement
- Ability to perform physical requirements safely
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliability, communication skills and commitment to protected practices
