Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Manager with specialized expertise in Capital Expenditure (Cap Ex) to lead procurement initiatives in Kimberley. This strategic role involves managing the sourcing and acquisition of major equipment, plant, machinery, and construction services essential for capital projects. You will be responsible for developing Cap Ex procurement strategies, leading complex negotiations, and ensuring that all capital investments are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and meet stringent project timelines. This position is crucial for supporting the company's growth and infrastructure development in the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for capital expenditure projects.
Lead the sourcing and negotiation process for high-value Cap Ex items and services.
Manage supplier relationships and performance for key Cap Ex vendors and contractors.
Collaborate with project management, engineering, and finance teams to define project requirements and budgets.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies,
ethical standards, and project specifications.
Analyze market conditions and supply chain risks related to Cap Ex procurement.
Requirements Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 4 years focused on Capital Expenditure.
Proven track record in managing large-scale Cap Ex procurement projects and complex negotiations.
Strong understanding of project management principles and financial analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with global sourcing and international procurement practices.
