This technician works with the Canadian Assets Optimization team on production restoration and specialized artificial lift activities. Responsibilities extend beyond routine field operations and include intervention jobs, diagnostics, optimization trials, and training. Success requires collaboration with cross-shifts, the Operations Control Centre, Engineering, and field operators.
Key Responsibilities: Perform N2 kick-arounds, blowdowns, and hot oil jobs
Complete sand solve jobs and plunger retrievals
Support Frac Comm recovery and well interventions
Support optimization trials and technology deployment
Provide artificial lift training to field operators
Requirements: Minimum two years of related field experience
Secure decision making, integrity, and sound judgment
Ability to work independently and across shifts
Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
Computer and application proficiency
Bring well intervention experience, safe decision making, and collaboration skills to Ovintiv's specialized production restoration work.
