This BESS Operations Engineer role supports a large-scale battery energy storage portfolio. You will combine electrical engineering expertise with telemetry analysis, field troubleshooting, and OEM collaboration. Your work will strengthen safety, availability, capacity retention, and operational reliability across utility-scale systems.
Key Responsibilities: Lead investigations into BESS faults, failures, and operational issues
Conduct root cause analyses and define corrective actions
Validate availability, capacity, SOC, and cycling data
Support field troubleshooting at operating sites
Manage warranties and coordinate OEM issue resolution
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
At least five years' utility-scale engineering experience
Operational support experience for BESS projects exceeding 100 MW
Robust understanding of BESS architectures and components
Ability to travel up to 25% to operating sites
Apply electrical engineering, BESS analytics, and troubleshooting expertise to improve safety and reliability across utility-scale storage assets.
