RoboForming process engineering combines CAD manipulation, robot tool paths, and data analysis at Machina Labs. Work hands-on with advanced robotic systems. As a Robotic Process Engineer, you will convert digital designs into robotic tool paths using RoboCraftsman and Machina Labs' software stack. You will optimize sheet metal forming for automotive applications through scan analysis, experiments, and real-world feedback. Collaboration spans product managers, hardware and software engineers, manufacturing engineers, designers, and fabricators.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and modify CAD models for RoboForming compatibility
- Convert CAD designs into RoboCraftsman robot tool paths
- Analyze forming data and 3D scan results
- Execute structured experiments to optimize forming strategies
- Document processes, results, and analyses for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Zero to two years in manufacturing, robotics, or prototyping
- Proficiency with at least one CAD software
- Familiarity with CAM, tool paths, or robot programming
- Solid data analysis skills using MATLAB, Python, or similar Apply CAD, robot programming, and data analysis skills to advance Machina Labs' automotive RoboForming process.
