As Procurement Lead, you will report to the Strategic Supply Manager and guide purchasing for CANDU fuel-handling equipment. The work covers vendor selection, sourcing strategy, contracts, supplier performance, and cross-functional cost improvement. You will support equipment used in remote control, specialized tooling, and process plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily purchasing, vendor selection, and quote evaluation activities Release high-value purchase orders and negotiate supplier agreements Develop sourcing strategies and qualify capable suppliers Administer contracts, claims, discrepancies,



and corrective actions Guide team goals, training, procedures, and performance improvement

Requirements:

Ten years of procurement leadership experience Five years of experience working in the nuclear field Engineering or technology degree, or five years technical experience Knowledge of nuclear standards, codes, drawings, and technical documents Supplier negotiation, communication, leadership, risk, and quality capabilities Apply procurement leadership, nuclear standards knowledge, and supplier management expertise to BWXT NEC’s Peterborough operations.
