Build routing software with Ciena in Ottawa using embedded C and C++ development on real-time operating systems. This is a full-time opportunity. As a Recent Graduate Routing/IP Software Engineer, you will contribute to software for Ciena’s 6500 system. The work spans development, testing, documentation, debugging, maintenance, and delivery. You will support software components for networking devices while collaborating with engineers, architects, product verification, and test teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new functionality using embedded C and C++ Test, document, debug, and maintain applications Reduce backlog defects across software components Create scripts, test utilities, and development aids Resolve problems with product verification and test teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science Relevant internship, co-op, or applied project experience Knowledge of structured programming and design concepts Interest and aptitude for software development Enthusiasm and willingness to learn Apply embedded C, C++, and routing fundamentals to Ciena’s 6500 software development lifecycle in Ottawa.
