Lead procurement and contracts for a mining infrastructure project with flexible remote working and occasional Burnaby office visits. Torus Talent is recruiting an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracts Specialist for an engineering consulting client. Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for a mine booster pumphouse, including engineered equipment, fabrication contracts, and construction installation packages. Work independently with engineering, construction, and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare RFQ and tender packages for equipment and materials Evaluate bids, clarify submissions, and recommend contract awards Prepare purchase orders and procurement award documentation Coordinate vendor expediting, inspections, and documentation Administer changes,
payment milestones, and project closeout
Requirements:
Seven or more years in procurement or contract administration Experience managing procurement from RFQ through post-award administration Background in engineered equipment and fabrication contracts Construction tender and subcontract agreement experience Robust commercial, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills Apply procurement lifecycle expertise, commercial judgment, and vendor management skills to this defined mining infrastructure project.
