Lead Burlington Hydro’s health, safety, and environmental function in Burlington, applying HSEMS expertise across operational and field environments. As Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Environment, you will support the Director, People, Safety & Culture. You will provide strategic input, technical guidance, and operational expertise while improving the HSEMS. The position strengthens legislative compliance, protected work practices, and proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily health and safety priorities and operational plans Lead loss prevention programs across multiple sites Manage HSEMS policies, procedures, documentation, and reporting Direct audits, inspections, assessments,
and incident investigations Coordinate annual ESA Regulation 22/04 Audit submissions
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in a relevant health and safety field Minimum seven years of progressive health and safety experience Experience implementing, auditing, and improving OHSMS programs Strong knowledge of occupational and electrical utility safety requirements Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence with clean abstract Apply HSEMS leadership, risk assessment, and coaching expertise to strengthen Burlington Hydro’s safety performance across operations.
