Mechanical estimating expertise drives accurate budgets, quantity take-offs, and bid submissions at EllisDon across complex construction projects. This role is client-facing. As an Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will prepare estimates throughout project lifecycles and phasing. Your work spans hard-bid, construction management, design-build, and stipulated-price submissions. You will coordinate mechanical scopes with architectural, civil, structural, and electrical estimators while supporting subcontractor buyout.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare pre-construction estimates, budgets, and guaranteed maximum price submissions Complete quantity take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials Review drawings, tender documents, contracts,



and scope narratives Coordinate scope delineation and estimating matrices with multidisciplinary estimators Organize subcontractor quotes and support negotiations and buyout

Requirements:

Intermediate or senior mechanical contracting or construction estimating experience Knowledge of estimating strategies, techniques, and construction contracts Ability to read engineering drawings and calculate mathematical extensions Experience estimating mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or life-science projects Knowledge of plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and BAS/BMS systems Apply mechanical estimating, construction contracts, and quantity take-off expertise to EllisDon’s pre-construction and bidding work.
