Lead financial reporting for Edison Properties in Winnipeg, applying advanced Excel and GAAP expertise across a diverse property portfolio. Full time work reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Financial Controller oversees accounting operations for residential and commercial properties. This senior finance role manages reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. It also guides the Finance team while supporting senior leadership and the Board of Directors with accurate analysis and reports.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Complete bank, payroll, and accounts payable reconciliations Coordinate year-end working papers and external audits Manage cash flow forecasting, banking,
and trust accounting Lead Finance team members and promote accountability
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Five to seven years of accounting or finance experience Two to three years of supervisory experience required Advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word knowledge Property management experience preferred; Yardi is an asset Bring financial leadership, GAAP reporting, and property accounting expertise to Edison Properties’ Winnipeg operations and Finance team.
