Construction accounting expertise meets project controls in Calgary, Markham, or Port Hawkesbury. This full-time Project Controller supports financial performance across Canada. Valard Construction seeks an experienced construction accounting skilled reporting to the Manager, Business Performance. You will support project and divisional leadership through job costing, WIP reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and month-end processes. The position oversees a portfolio of projects and requires occasional travel to active Canadian sites, up to 10%. Key Responsibilities:

Review contracts, obligations, budgets, estimates, and work breakdown structures Provide financial oversight and guidance to Project Managers Lead cost meetings, forecast revisions,



and margin analysis Maintain risk registers and contract value files Prepare reports, review packages, and cash position information Requirements:

Post-secondary accounting, finance, or related education Five years of progressive construction accounting experience Expertise in job costing, WIP reporting, and project analytics Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with JD Edwards, SAP, or similar ERP systems Bring construction accounting, forecasting, and project controls expertise to Valard Construction’s project portfolio across Canada.
