Design high-speed racing gameplay with responsive vehicle handling at Velan Studios, working hybrid or onsite from Troy or Toronto. Lead features from concept through launch. This experienced designer will shape an exciting new racing concept with the Game Director and fellow designers. The work spans level content, vehicle mechanics, racecourse elements, and cross-discipline delivery. Collaboration with art, engineering, animation, audio, and programming teams is central. Key Responsibilities:

Lead gameplay feature design with the Game Director Prototype and implement level content throughout product development Develop vehicle racing mechanics with programming teams Create racecourse obstacles and power-up types Own delivery for a cross-discipline content sub-team Requirements:

Five or more years of design experience At least one shipped title Ability to lead a small cross-discipline sub-team General scripting proficiency Robust cross-disciplinary communication skills Bring racing design, gameplay prototyping, scripting, and leadership experience to Velan Studios’ new racing concept.
