Position Summary:

As a 308A Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fabricate, install, and maintain HVAC systems, ductwork, and other sheet metal components in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g., shears, brakes, and presses) to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal materials.
- Perform precision measurements, cutting, bending, and welding of metal components.
- Install insulation and sealants as required.
- Ensure that all installations and repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and project managers to meet deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing sheet metal systems.

Qualifications:

- Valid 308A Sheet Metal Worker Certification (or equivalent).




- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, including experience with HVAC systems and installations.
- Proficient with sheet metal tools and equipment (hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Robust problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and practices in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with custom sheet metal fabrication.
- Welding experience (TIG, MIG, Stick).
- Experience working with high-volume commercial installations.
- Ability to use basic computer software for job documentation (e.g., email, Word, Excel).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$52.00 per hour
