Job Summary
Registered Psychologist – MVA & Trauma Specialist (Path to Clinical Leadership)
Location:
Edmonton, AB (Hybrid / Office-based)
Job Type:
Full-time, Part-time, Contract (Flexible / Growth-Oriented)
About the Prospect:
Are you an energetic, registered psychologist with solid experience in MVA rehabilitation and trauma counseling, looking for more than just another associate position?
We are launching a specialized Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) counseling and rehabilitation practice in Edmonton. We are looking for an ambitious, growth-minded Registered Psychologist who has honed their clinical skills in MVA trauma, driving phobias, and chronic pain, and is now ready to build a thriving practice and take on a clinical leadership role.
If you are eager to shape clinical workflows, lead a growing practice, and expand your skilled footprint in the medical-legal and rehabilitation space, this opportunity was designed for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Clinical Care: Conduct initial psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based counseling (CBT, EMDR, PE, Mindfulness) for clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents (PTSD, driving phobias, chronic pain, mood/adjustment disorders).
- Objective Reporting: Produce high-quality, timely psychological assessment and progress reports compliant with Alberta Section C auto insurance protocols.
- Practice Building: Collaborate with our operational team to establish a high-reputation, client-centered MVA counseling service in the local market.
- Leadership & Growth: As the practice expands, step up into a Clinical Lead role—helping refine assessment protocols, mentor provisional psychologists/counselors, and guide clinical quality assurance.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Registration: Active, unencumbered registration as a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
- Experience Level: Mid-career practitioner (approx. 2–6 years of post-registration experience). You have a proven clinical baseline in MVA/Section C care and trauma, but you are eager to build, grow, and lead.
- MVA & Trauma Expertise: Demonstrated success treating post-MVA trauma, driving anxiety, chronic pain, and health/rehabilitation cases.
- Reporting & Psychometrics: Comfortable with standard psychometric screeners (PAI, PCL-5, BDI/BAI) and generating concise, objective reports for auto insurers and legal representatives.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, proactive, and leadership-oriented. You take pride in high clinical standards and want to build something impactful.
What We Offer:
- High-Growth Compensation: Very competitive fee-split or structured baseline + incentive package tailored to support rapid practice growth.
- Turnkey Practice & Administrative Support: Complete operational backing—intake, file curation, billing, Section C pre-authorizations, and appointment scheduling are handled for you so you can focus on clinical care and leadership.
- Pathway to Leadership: Clear track to assume Clinical Director / Quality Assurance lead responsibilities as the team grows.
- Flexibility: Autonomy over your schedule with hybrid or in-person service delivery options.
How to Apply:
Submit your CV along with a short note detailing your experience with MVA/Section C clients and why you are ready to take on a leadership role in a growing practice.
Pay: $47.27-$177.51 per hour
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
