Overview
We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Store Manager who is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience and leading a team that takes pride in making every customer feel welcome. You'll oversee all aspects of store operations, from coaching and developing employees to ordering, receiving, inventory, cash control and vendor relationships. Above all, we're looking for someone who leads by example, builds relationships with customers, uses data to make smart decisions, and creates a store that people love coming back to.
This is a role for someone who can effectively balance hands-on leadership with the administrative responsibilities of managing a successful store. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at prioritizing their workload to ensure administrative tasks are completed while maintaining a strong, visible presence on the sales floor. They have a proven track record of driving sales, controlling costs, and leading by example. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems rather than passing them along, and understands that successful store management requires equal attention to operational responsibilities, team leadership, and the customer experience.
We are a small, close-knit team and we love it that way. Every person here makes a real difference, and we take pride in looking out for one another. We are looking for someone who brings energy, warmth, and a genuine smile to work every day — someone who will feel right at home with a group of people who enjoy what they do and enjoy doing it together.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Leadership: Lead all day-to-day store operations from the sales floor. Hire, train, coach, and develop team members, delegate tasks, and build a positive, accountable, customer-first team culture.
- Customer Experience: Lead by example in delivering friendly, attentive and personalized service. Build relationships with regular customers, coach employees to consistently exceed customer expectations, and take ownership of resolving concerns in a positive and professional manner.
- Ordering & Inventory: Order stock based on sales data, trends, seasonality, and customer requests. Run regular inventory counts, keep on-hand levels accurate, and price merchandise, including promotions and markdowns.
- Receiving & Stock Flow: Plan orders and deliveries to keep shelves well stocked. Check every delivery against the invoice and get new product merchandised promptly and efficiently.
- Sales & Data Analysis: Pull and review sales, margin, and inventory reports from the POS and spreadsheets every week. Spot what's selling, what isn't, and where margin is being lost — and act on it through pricing, ordering, product mix, and merchandising.
- Sales Growth & Cost Control: Grow sales while reducing shrink, waste, and spoilage, and keeping labour and inventory costs on budget.
- Scheduling & Labour: Build staff schedules that cover busy periods and stay within the labour budget.
- Cash Handling & Deposits: Ensure accurate till counts, safe drops, and daily cash-out reports. Follow up on any over/short right away and make bank deposits on schedule.
- Loss Prevention: Keep shrink low through receiving checks, inventory controls, cash procedures, and a robust presence on the floor.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors to secure quality merchandise, arrange stock deliveries, and build strong, lasting vendor relationships.
- Merchandising & Standards: Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and safety. Make creative, efficient use of all available floor space.
- Performance & Reporting: Report regularly to ownership on sales, margins, labour, and shrink — and come with solutions, not just problems.

- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
