Expedia Cruises and The McLeod Travel Group are looking for an experienced and motivated Travel Advisor to join our Courtenay team as an Assistant Manager & Travel Advisor.

This is an exciting opportunity for a travel professional who loves helping clients create unforgettable vacations while supporting the growth and success of a high-performing team. You'll combine your own travel sales and client relationships with leadership responsibilities that help strengthen office culture, advisor development, and overall business performance.

Your Impact

Travel Sales & Client Experience

- Build and grow your own book of travel business.
- Plan and sell cruises, tours, all-inclusive vacations, river cruises, and customized travel experiences.
- Deliver exceptional service before, during, and after travel.
- Develop long-term client relationships through outstanding customer care and follow-up.
- Stay informed on industry trends, destinations, and supplier offerings.

Leadership & Team Support

- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to support advisor development, drive sales growth, and contribute to team initiatives that strengthen office performance.
- Work alongside the Director of Sales to deliver exceptional client experiences, support key client relationships, and help ensure key sales opportunities are managed effectively.
- Welcome, onboard, and support new Travel Advisors as they join the team.
- Foster a positive, collaborative,



and professional office culture where advisors can thrive.
- Lead by example through outstanding client service, professionalism, and sales performance.
- Support team meetings, training sessions, and office initiatives.
- Help create an organized, productive, and welcoming environment for advisors and clients.

Business Growth

- Work closely with the Director of Sales and Franchise Owner to support the continued growth and success of the Courtenay location.
- Encourage advisor engagement and participation in training and development opportunities.
- Share ideas and contribute to initiatives that enhance the client experience and drive business growth.
- Participate in local networking, marketing, and community engagement activities that build awareness of Expedia Cruises and The McLeod Travel Group.

What We're Looking For

- Previous travel sales experience preferred.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Leadership potential and a desire to mentor and support others.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using technology, CRM systems, and supplier booking platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience selling cruises,



vacation packages, or customized travel experiences.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting team members.
- Knowledge of the travel industry and supplier partner network.

Employment Requirements

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to work the required Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check as a condition of employment.
- Travel industry certifications are considered an asset but are not required.
