High-Rise Construction Superintendent

London, Ontario | Full-Time, Permanent | Immediate Opportunity

A major project needs a strong leader on site.

Blackridge Search Group is conducting a confidential search for an experienced High-Rise Construction Superintendent to lead site operations on a significant, multi-tower residential development in London, Ontario.

We're looking for someone who knows how to run a high-rise construction site, commands respect through experience and consistency, and understands that successful projects are built on accountability, planning, communication, and execution.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes ownership of their site, sets clear expectations, follows through on commitments, and leads by example.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on a complex, large-scale residential development, coordinating trades, maintaining productivity, and ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.

You'll work closely with project management and construction teams to keep the project moving, resolve challenges before they become significant problems, and create an environment where everyone understands what's expected of them.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate daily site operations on a major high-rise residential construction project.
- Direct, supervise, and hold subcontractors and site personnel accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and scheduled commitments.
- Develop and manage short-term construction schedules, look-ahead plans, trade sequencing, and site logistics.
- Identify potential delays, resolve site conflicts, and proactively address construction challenges.




- Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act, applicable regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Monitor workmanship, perform quality inspections, and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reporting, and communication with project management.
- Establish a professional, organized, and productive site culture where expectations are clear and commitments are met.

What We're Looking For

- Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent leading multi-storey, high-rise residential construction projects in Ontario.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-rise construction methods, structural systems, building envelope, mechanical and electrical coordination, and finishing sequences.
- A proven ability to manage multiple trades and complex construction schedules.
- A confident, decisive leadership style with the ability to have difficult conversations, enforce standards, and hold people accountable.
- Strong organizational, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A practical understanding of construction safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- The ability to anticipate issues, make informed decisions, and keep work progressing under pressure.
- A consistent,



dependable on-site presence with the ability to reliably attend the London project site each workday.
- The flexibility to respond to operational demands as the project requires.
