About The Role
Working closely and reporting into the President & CEO , your responsibilities will be to manage the day to day accounting operations of the company. Duties would include but not be limited to:
- Supervise a Team of 6 accountants. 2 locally, 4 overseas.
- Overseeing the day-to-day activities in accounting operations and the teams including billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring compliance,
accuracy and timeliness
- Reviewing financial statements
- Preparing regular reports, including month-end closing statements, quarterly reports to the bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable reports, etc
- Manage Bank, CRA and Auditor relationships
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Delegating, supervising, and participating in accounting department tasks
- Developing and implementing department controls and procedures
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities
Qualifications
- CPA is required
- Excellent English communication skills are required
- 8+ years experience, minimum 3+ in a supervisory role
- Experience with Sage 300, Quickbooks Online or other ERP is preferred
- Solid Excel and other Microsoft applications are essential
