About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing North American freight brokerage providing transportation solutions across Canada and the United States.
With approximately 20 employees today and plans to more than double in size, the company is entering an significant stage of growth and is looking for a Talent Acquisition & HR Manager to help attract top talent, strengthen recruitment capabilities and build the HR infrastructure needed to support its expansion.
The company operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and sales-driven environment where initiative, accountability and results are highly valued.
This is an opportunity to work directly with the CEO, make an immediate impact on the company's growth and take on greater responsibilities as the business expands.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of how the company attracts, hires, develops and retains talent.
Approximately 60–70% of this role will focus on hands-on recruitment, with the highest priority being the proactive sourcing and hiring of high-performing, commission-driven sales professionals.
The remaining responsibilities will involve building recruitment and HR processes, supporting employee retention, managing performance, improving onboarding and developing the HR function as the company grows.
We're looking for someone with a strong track record in high-volume sales recruitment, combined with experience developing or improving recruitment and HR processes.
Experience supporting the growth of a logistics or transportation company is highly valued, but candidates with particularly strong recruitment and HR backgrounds from other sales-driven industries will also be considered.
This is not a position for someone who prefers to manage recruitment from a distance. You'll be expected to remain actively involved in sourcing, headhunting, interviewing and hiring while helping establish the structure needed to support a growing organization.
You don't need to have managed a large HR team, but you should be comfortable taking ownership, working directly with leadership and building processes without relying on an established corporate playbook.
