Job Summary

Join our team to produce wood and laminate gunstocks and wood components for our rifle accessories, and to modify polymer parts. Your daily duties will include starting up, setting up, operating, and maintaining two Brother CNC machines (s700x / s1000x) and one Laguna CNC machine. The Brother CNCs are equipped with 5th-axis and 4th-axis rotary tables, respectively, and can produce complex 3D parts. As you grow in the role, you’ll take on more independent troubleshooting, quality checks, process improvements, and new part programming using RhinoCAM or GibbsCAM. We’re looking for a reliable person who communicates well and is working toward operating independently with minimal supervision.

Key Accountabilities:

- Load and align fixtures
- 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis setup.
- Load/unload CNC machines according to instructions
- Load, and set tools
- Learn to choose the right tooling for wood and polymer machining




- Develop the ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, tooling problems, and process deviations
- Support ongoing process improvements
- Inspect finished parts for accurate dimensions, clean edges, and surface quality
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the process
- Run equipment at maximum capacity and meeting production goals
- Housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas
- Perform basic daily and weekly machine maintenance
- Any other duties as directed by the supervisor

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (or willingness to learn):

- Ability to read blueprint drawings and setup manuals
- Familiarity with measuring tool such as calipers and probes
- Some prior experience with CNC machines, table saws, shapers, or woodworking is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Rhino CAM or Gibbs CAM software is a plus
- Ability to read and understand G-code
- Interest in learning tooling and cutting parameters for wood and polymer materials
- Forklift certification is a great asset
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail
- A continuous improvement mindset

Shift: Monday - Thursday | 6:30am - 5:00pm

Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour

- Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- CNC Machine Operating: 1 year (preferred)
- Woodworking: 1 year (preferred)
