Pay: $28–$33 per hour, depending on relevant skills and experience.
Expected hours: 44+ hours per week.

Prairie Boys Truck & Car Wash is looking for a hands-on Manager to lead our Ponoka location.

We’re looking for a dependable person who enjoys solving problems, is comfortable troubleshooting equipment, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. You’ll work alongside the team, help guests, keep the site running smoothly, and take pride in a clean, safe, well-maintained business.

Previous experience as a manager is not required. Experience in maintenance, trades, agriculture, automotive, or another hands-on environment would be an asset. We’re willing to train the right person who brings practical skills, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

· Oversee daily operations and work alongside employees.

· Inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and complete routine maintenance within your training and ability.

· Coordinate repairs and service providers to minimize downtime and keep the location operating reliably.

· Learn how the wash equipment and systems operate.

· Keep the wash, retail area, tools, and maintenance spaces clean and organized.

· Train and guide employees, assign duties, and follow up on work.

· Manage staff scheduling and ensure the location operates throughout posted hours.

· Help guests, resolve concerns, and maintain consistent wash quality.

· Order supplies, track inventory, and monitor operating costs.

· Maintain daily checklists, maintenance records,



and accurate timekeeping.

· Follow safe work practices and ensure employees do the same.

· Work closely with the Director of Operations to improve the business.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience using equipment or tools or performing general maintenance.

· A dependable work ethic, initiative, and the ability to follow through.

· The ability to communicate clearly, guide a team, and provide friendly guest service.

· Strong organization and attention to detail.

· Basic computer skills and willingness to learn business software.

· Able to perform physical duties, including heavy lifting, using appropriate equipment or assistance when required.

· Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required, and willing to be on call for urgent operational issues 24/7.

· Valid driver’s licence.

· Current scissor lift, WHMIS, and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them.

· Willingness to complete a criminal record check.

Car wash experience and previous leadership experience are assets.
