Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Shop Hand/Yard Support team member to assist with daily operations at our Edmonton facility.

This is a varied, hands-on position involving shop assistance, yard maintenance, parts transportation, vehicle movements, and general operational support.

The successful candidate will be someone who takes initiative, enjoys practical work, and is comfortable adapting to the changing needs of a busy transportation operation.

A valid Class 1 driver's licence is mandatory for this position. The role involves operating and relocating heavy commercial trucks and equipment as part of daily shop and yard operations. A Class 5 licence does not authorize the operation of the Class 1 commercial vehicles required for these duties. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 licence to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and equipment between company facilities, vendors, and other locations.
- Complete time-sensitive deliveries and hot shots as required.
- Transport drivers between locations when needed.
- Assist with moving commercial vehicles and equipment as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe,



and organized shop and yard.
- Support shop personnel with general maintenance tasks and light mechanical assistance.
- Clean, sanitize, and detail commercial trucks and equipment.
- Assist with basic administrative duties and shop-related documentation.
- Respond to changing operational priorities and provide additional support where required.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 driver's licence (mandatory).
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, cleaning, and working outdoors.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks.
- Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Previous experience in a commercial trucking shop, transportation yard, or similar industrial environment is an asset.
