As the organization continues to evolve, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their Richmond-based finance team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Controller will play a key role in leading the organization's accounting operations. This position will take ownership of the monthly close process, consolidated financial reporting, and the ongoing improvement of accounting processes, controls,



and reporting capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys both hands-on accounting and process improvement. You'll work closely with finance and operational leaders across multiple entities, gaining broad exposure to consolidated reporting, international operations, and strategic business initiatives.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
- Preparing consolidated financial statements across multiple business entities.
- Managing intercompany reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
- Supporting audits, compliance requirements, and year-end reporting.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
- Assisting with system enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Partnering with leaders across the business to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
